The best and highest-quality log house is a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts. PolarHouse is known as a supplier of high-quality villas. What makes these thermal residental log cabins so high-quality?

"Think three times, measure twice, build once" is a widely known saying that emphasizes the importance of good design in construction. If the design work is done in a hurry, without a thorough needs assessment and careful consideration, the end result may not match what you’ve dreamed of.
When designing a house model, it’s worth seeking help from professionals, as it saves both time and money. A professional home designer can advise on how much space is needed for a comfortable dining area or sauna facilities, or where interior doors should be placed. They can also explain how different floor plans affect the home’s functionality.

A high-quality log house is warm and sufficiently airtight, yet also breathable. PolarHouse’s unique thermal log wall construction combines the natural qualities and breathability of logs without heat loss. The wall structure enables heat loss that is up to more than half that of traditional log structures.
Low heat loss means a consistently warm and comfortable indoor climate, as well as lower energy consumption and electricity bills.

The wood panels for PolarHouse wall elements come from a sawmill known for supplying high-quality Finnish wood. The panels are made of dense-grained Finnish spruce, which is sawn, dried, and sorted in accordance with a certified quality system.
At the PolarHouse factory, the panels are selected one by one and inspected for quality. The panels are primed by hand at the factory, including the tongue-and-groove joints, and joined together using hidden nailing, so that no nail heads are visible on the exterior of the wall. In our experience, the best painting results are achieved by hand, as brushing opens up the wood grain and allows the paint to penetrate deeper into the wood than, for example, spray painting. Hand painting means longer intervals between maintenance and the next coat of finish.
The wall elements are assembled layer by layer in dry and warm factory conditions, ensuring that the workmanship is precise and consistent.

In addition to design services and building permit drawings, the package comprehensively includes all the wooden components needed for the house. The wall elements, manufactured in dry and warm conditions at the house factory, include high-quality Kaski windows and doors as well as insulation materials.
1. Finnish-made Kaskipuu windows with an excellent U-value of 0.66 W/m²K

2. Roofing materials featuring Weckman Progantti Premium metal roofing and Pural BT coating, with a 50-year technical warranty and a 25-year warranty on the paint finish.

3. Kaskipuu exterior doors with locks and threshold plates
