Superior thermal log structure

The PolarHouse thermal log house is an unrivalled solution as compared with an ordinary log house: it has superb thermal insulation and is thus an energy-economic alternative. The PolarHouse thermal log house combines the robust elegance of a traditional log house with modern prefabricated element structures. The log appearance comes from large log-panelled elements and robust log corners. The wall elements are manufactured at the factory so they are protected from weather changes. The interior wall surfaces can also be coated with boarding instead of log panelling.

External cladding alternatives PolarHouse offers a unique possibility to choose the outward appearance of the house. All PolarHouses can be adapted to their surroundings by choosing a suitable cladding: for an urban environment, rural area, built-up area or wilderness. The following four cladding alternatives are available for all models in the PolarHouse range:
	STANDARD THERMAL LOG • glue laminated timber corners 5” x 7” (115 x 172 mm) (delivered as a single easy-to-install element) • external cladding log panel, 21 mm • ventilation gap, 22 mm • wind break  board, 12 mm (continuous in the corner area) • thermal insulation 150, 175 or 200 mm (also corner insulation mounted in the factory) • vapour barrier • interior cladding log panel, 21 mm (gypsum board as an alternative)
	LARGE THERMAL LOG • glue laminated timber corners 7” x 9” (170 x 218 mm) (delivered as a single easy-to-install element) • external cladding log panel, 28 mm • ventilation gap, 22 mm • wind break  board, 12 mm (continuous in the corner area) • thermal insulation 150, 175 or 200 mm (also corner insulation mounted in the factory) • vapour barrier • interior cladding log panel, 21 or 28 mm (gypsum board as an alternative)
	ROUND THERMAL LOG • glue-laminated round timber corners, 200 mm (delivered as single easy-to-install element) • external cladding round timber panel, 47 mm • ventilation gap, 22 mm • wind break board, 12 mm (continuous in the corner area) • thermal insulation 150, 175 or 200 mm (also corner insulation mounted in the factory) • vapour barrier • interior cladding log panel, 21 or 28 mm (gypsum board as an alternative)
